Camas Gardens Wins Community Excellence Award

Camas Gardens was announced as the recipient of the 2011 Community Excellence Award at the 20th annual Commercial Building Awards competition. The 44 unit supported housing complex is located at 950 Humboldt St and was designed to LEED Gold standards. Humboldt Street is a dichotomy of architectural typologies, from high end modern condominiums and colorful heritage buildings, to seniors' residences and 1970's apartments. This project sought to translate this diversity with a contemporary architectural solution that is durable and welcoming, restoring an important piece of the city fabric.
