Many Thanks to the United Way of Greater Victoria

The United Way of Greater Victoria (UWGV) continues to have an enormous impact in our community in its 75th year of operations, by connecting people and resources throughout our community to identify and address our most challenging social issues. With more than 12,000 people contributing to UWGV’s fundraising efforts, United Way supports organizations and programs that align with the impact areas identified by the community as important.

Pacifica Housing would like to express its gratitude to the United Way for their funding commitment to our work for 2012-2014. The Streets to Homes Program, which will be managed by Pacifica Housing effective February 2012, will receive $230,000 per year for the next three years towards program administration.  This funding will enable us to continue to invest in providing affordable housing and necessary support services to individuals who struggle with mental health and/or addictions issues. It is partners like UWGV who continue to inspire and enable organizations like ours to help build better lives through affordable homes and community connections.
