Board Member Chair

Corrina is the Family Counsellor for the Saanich Police Department.  Her diverse background includes managing a Women’s Centre, providing crisis counseling and support to victims of crime through the Greater Victoria Police Victim Services, facilitating focus groups and providing contract community research with members of the Victoria street community and seven years as a Paralegal.  

Corrina  has been a volunteer board member with Pacifica Housing since 2002 and is in her second year as Board Chair.  She currently lives in Langford with her wonderful three year old daughter and too many pets.

Board Member Treasurer

Sang is a Partner in KPMG’s Audit practice in Victoria with more than 13 years of experience providing audit and tax services to a wide range of clients. In 2007 Sang was recognized with an Early Achievement Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia for his professional accomplishments and contributions to the community. 

Sang has been a member of the Pacifica Housing board of Directors since 2003 and also serves as treasurer of the Victoria CA Association.

Board Member Secretary

Deborah holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Victoria where she teaches on occasion in the Department of Psychology. She was with the BC Government for 18 years spending most of her career in the area of science and technology, with some seven years as an Assistant Deputy Minister. She finished her final assignment with the Provincial Government in 2000.

Deborah's volunteer work includes strategic planning with non-profit organizations, and extensive board and committee work. She has been a member of Pacifica Housing's board of directors since 2005 and also currently volunteers with the Victoria Hospice Society. Deborah is married and has one adult son living and working in San Francisco.

Terry is President and CEO of Accent Inns Inc., an award-winning family-owned BC hotel chain he founded in 1986. The company has a head office and hotel property in Victoria as well as properties at five other BC locations. Mr. Farmer is a long-time supporter of BC tourism and his career has been marked on more than one occasion with notable accolades.  

Terry has been a member of Pacifica Housing's board of directors since 2009 and also currently  volunteers as a United Way Leadership Presenter and as a member of the Go2 Speakers Bureau. He has volunteered on the boards of numerous other charitable, sports and community organizations including the Commonwealth Games, Greater Victoria Hospital Society and the Community Welfare Council.

James is a Chartered Accountant who specializes in personal tax returns and small to medium business accounting and tax needs as well as business start-ups and entrepreneur mentoring.  He has been working in accounting in Victoria since 2005 and has previously worked with two firms operating in the Victoria area prior to launching his own Practice. Prior to entering the accounting field, James worked at both the Federal and Provincial levels of government and also managed a network of retail businesses in the Victoria area.

James joined Pacifica Housing's board of Directors in November 2010 and also works  with the CA School of Business to help train the next generation of Chartered Accountants.

Jaime is a lawyer in private practice with Reed Pope LLP, Business Lawyers, in Victoria and has over 20 years of commercial litigation experience. Prior to legal practice, Jaime operated a commercial fishing business on the BC coast.

Jaime has always been active in the community and joined Pacifica Housing's Board of Directors in November 2010. He has served on the boards of several non-profits and provided volunteer services to a variety of groups, including the John Howard Society and the Imagination Market. He is past chair of Raincity Housing in Vancouver, a provider of transitional housing. Jaime strongly believes that stable, decent and affordable housing is the foundation of a dignified life for all members of our community.

Marnie Hill has been working in the non profit sector since 1980, with post secondary education, healthcare and humanitarian organizations in Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. Her experience covers a wide range of non profit management and fundraising,including annual campaigns, events, planned giving, and marketing/communications. Marnie has worked on capital campaigns ranging from $4 million to $42 million, and has extensive computer systems knowledge. She is currently Manager, Gift Planning with the Canadian Red Cross and has been a member of Pacifica Housing's Board of Directors since May 2011.

Sharlie Huffman is the Bridge Seismic Engineer for the Province of BC and has worked for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure for 29 years. In 2010 she joined the Canadian Earthquake Reconnaissance Team in Chile to provide assistance and expertise to Chilean officials in the wake of the devastating March earthquake

Sharlie has been a member of Pacifica Housing's Board of Directors since 2005.
