Youth Groups

A joint partnership between Pacifica Housing, Coast Capital Savings Credit Union and the United Way of Greater Victoria.  Weekly group sessions are facilitated at a number of Pacifica’s family complexes and are based on the internationally renowned Virtues Project. 

Pacifica Housing's Youth Group program is held at four of our family complexes.  Using the Virtues Project™ as the program's foundation, the goals of the Youth Groups are to nurture improved self-esteem and positive behavioural changes in at-risk children and youth living in Pacifica's social Housing complexes.  Currently, four one and a half hour session are held each week.  The program includes arts and crafts, discussions, games as well as other activities. 

The Programs are led by two young women who are both students of the Child and Youth Masters program at the University of Victoria.  They come with extensive experience dealing with children and youth in a variety of settings.

The programs are being run after school at the following complexes:

• Alderbrae
• Rudd Park
• Tamarack Close
• Colwood Lakes
